A couple hours before autumnal equinox in Berlin in the middle of the night. The leaves have started changing color, here today’s first yellowing linden.

Saw Sigur Rós play live tonight with the Young Class X orchestra on the last show of their Orchestral Tour.

Visited the Max Liebermann Villa on a day off of work to see the beautiful gardens and the special exhibition In Focus: Liebermann’s Pastels on its last weekend. Sat at a table on the premises right at the edge of the Wannsee lake and sketched the view across the water.

Couldn’t get to Britzer Garten to see the dahlias again this afternoon (no busses at S+U Hermannstr), so we walked a bit to Körnerpark, where we found a bench under large old plane trees, and I sketched the people on the lawn.

I noted the first scent of autumn leaves on my walk home today.

Went straight after work to look at a woven wall tapestry by Christoph Niemann, “Premier Plat” (based on the first ever(?) still life photo from 1827 by photographer Nicéphore Niépce), on its last day at C/O Berlin x Café Bark.
