Spent a breezy evening on this hot day at Britzer Garten where it’s getting near the end of rose season. Sketched trees on a hill in low sun, then was amazed by the number of wildflowers in the Tulipan area on the way out.

Berlin Fernsehturm had a wonderful cloud and blue sky backdrop this evening.

Always happy for the hollyhocks! The yellow white flowers are right in front of the house, the various pink ones were seen on neighborhood walks.

Went downtown in the evening for dinner out of house - sat on a Hauptbahnhof terrace as the Sun and temperature were going down for the night. Walked afterwards with the Moon in near constant view.

Went downtown for coffee then walked through Prenzlauer Berg enjoying many performances for Fête de la Musique. Got home late at dusk but before dark making the most of this longest day.

It’s humid out here on the balcony hours after the storm - and dark. I sat outside for a couple of hours reading, then I sketched our hawthorn courtyard tree in marker. Now that it’s starting to rain again, it’s time to go in and get ready to go out…
