Went to another Berlinale showing and saw: La Face Cachée de la Terre The Hidden Face of the Earth - a moving film about the meaning of images when a photographer is going blind🍿

Still watching the Olympics every day even if I haven’t posted about it for a few days…

Trying out Current RSS reader app via @manton - NetNewsWire is my main reader app for a while now, but I’m also anxiously awaiting Micro.blog’s upcoming RSS reader being interested in new ways of reading feeds…

Went to the Berlinale to watch the screening of the competition film Rosebush Pruning 🍿

A dark stage is illuminated with purple lights, featuring a large screen displaying a digital bear made of colorful particles.

Day off after the trip, got up early then went back to sleep. Lounging around now, going to go out somewhere later…

Winding down after a weekend train trip to Bremen and Oldenburg for an art exhibition tour of 3 museums: Alberto Giacometti “Das Maß der Welt“ on its last weekend, Paula Modersohn-Becker “Becoming Paula” (150 years exhibition), Horst Janssen “Janssen in Farbe“, Christoph Niemann “Randnotizen” 🗺️🎨

Rainy day, thought I’d be able to walk home in the mild temps, but it was too wet so took the tram. Now back out to the rain for a grocery store run after the 2nd third in GER - DEN (3:1) men’s ice hockey game (other Olympics seen today were women’s snowboard half pipe and women’s ice skating 5000m)

Watched Olympics double luge, and more curling, men‘s CAN - GER (7:6) - what has turned out to be my favorite sport these winter games

And on to the Hertha BSC - SC Freiburg DFB Pokal quarter final (1:1 Freiburg on penalties) ⚽️

Watching the Olympics mixed curling final SWE - USA (6:4)

I can hear so many birds chirping in the neighboring courtyards when I peek my head out the windows, and I’ve seen quite a few by us. The upstairs neighbors are putting out birdseed again, so I need to keep an eye out for the wood pigeons when the cat’s on the balcony.

Did a fun figure drawing workshop this evening - hoping it’s the spark to get me back into regular sketching again…

Ended up falling asleep early

I have the day off tomorrow, should I enjoy the late night bedtime by watching a movie later?…

Had a look at one of my favorite trees in the neighborhood, my red leaf tree, on a long, brisk walk at dusk - the first big stretch of the legs and hips (!) in weeks

A tree with bare branches is silhouetted against a twilight sky

Watched the Olympics women’s downhill skiing

Just watched Norway - Czechia (3:6) mixed doubles curling (round robin) - I’ve come to a greater appreciation of the sport after watching a video on the subject by Cleo Abram: Why This Olympic Sport Bothers Physicists

Champi in the new pet bed

A white cat with brown flecks lying in a white fluffy cat bed facing the camera directly

Tonight’s Olympics after an evening of coffee and a real walk downtown on paths of cleared or melted snow: team figure skating, men’s single luge, men’s downhill skiing, men’s snowboard big air on Sportschau

Have to remind myself about the Olympics games - watched curling mixed doubles then speed skating women’s 3000m
