Watching the Olympics mixed curling final SWE - USA (6:4)

I can hear so many birds chirping in the neighboring courtyards when I peek my head out the windows, and I’ve seen quite a few by us. The upstairs neighbors are putting out birdseed again, so I need to keep an eye out for the wood pigeons when the cat’s on the balcony.

Did a fun figure drawing workshop this evening - hoping it’s the spark to get me back into regular sketching again…

Ended up falling asleep early

I have the day off tomorrow, should I enjoy the late night bedtime by watching a movie later?…

Had a look at one of my favorite trees in the neighborhood, my red leaf tree, on a long, brisk walk at dusk - the first big stretch of the legs and hips (!) in weeks

A tree with bare branches is silhouetted against a twilight sky

Watched the Olympics women’s downhill skiing

Just watched Norway - Czechia (3:6) mixed doubles curling (round robin) - I’ve come to a greater appreciation of the sport after watching a video on the subject by Cleo Abram: Why This Olympic Sport Bothers Physicists

Champi in the new pet bed

A white cat with brown flecks lying in a white fluffy cat bed facing the camera directly

Tonight’s Olympics after an evening of coffee and a real walk downtown on paths of cleared or melted snow: team figure skating, men’s single luge, men’s downhill skiing, men’s snowboard big air on Sportschau

Have to remind myself about the Olympics games - watched curling mixed doubles then speed skating women’s 3000m

Just caught up with the thousands of backlogged RSS posts in my feed reader until this moment, simply setting many as read in bulk, yet actually reading many more in full - phew!

My delight when I got up after a nap, the cats together on the couch

A tabby brown cat lies in front of a white cat with brown flecks on the top of a grey cushioned couch in a white room by daylight

Watching the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony 🇮🇹

Finished watching Big Mouth 📺

Searched for books of creative exercises or prompts the other day to help me get into the habit of daily writing, but I need look no further than my own old story ideas, journals, and commonplace notebooks - so many unexplored thoughts stored within, I could work for years on texts based on them…

I’ve imported all of my old, old transcribed ideas and notes which were just sitting on iCloud as txt files after I copied them over from a backup drive - I didn’t know how to deal with them on the iPad until now (that alone might be worth the full version of Ulysses app…)

Watched: The Ballad of Wallis Island - on histories, collaboration, and creativity 🍿

Exploring the Ulysses writing app, going to test it out on all my devices as much as possible for the trial week

Did some reading in the pink Poäng chair, then watched Hertha - Darmstadt (2:2 - Berlin’s 5th tie in a row) in the background on the couch as I caught up with RSS feeds and open browser tabs
